Terms & Conditions

1. Scope

These Terms apply to the listing of businesses and service providers (“providers”) in the The Algarve Hub directory, operated by Marvin Conrad, Largo 5 de Outubro 10, 8400-351 Lagoa.

2. Service

The Algarve Hub maintains a curated directory of local providers for international residents of the Algarve and creates a profile for listed providers. The Algarve Hub decides on inclusion at its own discretion; there is no right to be included.

3. Local providers (free listing)

For local providers (e.g. cafés, bars, restaurants, local food, family & leisure offers), listing is free of charge initially. The Algarve Hub reserves the right to introduce a fee no earlier than after twelve (12) months. The provider will be informed in good time in advance of the introduction and amount of any such fee; in that case the provider may end the listing.

4. Founding Partner membership (lawyers, tax advisors, estate agents, etc.)

For the professional categories (e.g. lawyer, tax advice, estate agent, property management, doctors, insurance), listing as a Founding Partner is currently also free of charge. The Algarve Hub reserves the right to introduce a fee no earlier than after twelve (12) months. The provider will be informed in good time in advance of the introduction and amount of any such fee; in that case the provider may end the listing.

5. Fees & payment

As long as the listing is free, no fees are payable. If a fee is introduced in future, the invoice will be sent separately after prior notice. Any amounts are net, plus any statutory VAT.

6. Termination

Terminations must be made in text form (e.g. email to hello@thealgarvehub.com) and are subject to the periods stated above.

7. Content & provider responsibility

The provider warrants that the information and images it submits are accurate and do not infringe the rights of third parties. The Algarve Hub may edit submitted information editorially; the profile is submitted for approval before publication.

8. Liability

The Algarve Hub is liable only for intent and gross negligence, as well as for the breach of essential contractual obligations; otherwise, liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

9. Final provisions

The law of the Portuguese Republic applies. Should a provision be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

As of July 2026. These texts are still undergoing final legal review.
